Well, now I can actually buy a waterskin! This episode is a 2 for 1 deal, as they are both short and not very eventful. Then, we are back to exploring and be done with this odd little village.

Disclaimer: I utilize the Mythic Game Master Emulator (Mythic or Mythic GME) as well as The Solo Adventurer's Toolbox 1&2 (TSAT) & the Solo Wilderness Crawler (SWC) to supplement the adventure and build the terrain. I prepared little outside of the game world I already created, basic hex maps, and some lore that was already written from previous adventures. I will leave links to their respective links to support the authors at the end of this post. I encourage giving them a look!.

Scene 7 - At the Store - 1FB - 12:45pm - Day 1

Denckash enters the shoppe to inquire about a waterskin.

CL=4, Chaos Roll 1d10=8, no modification

Shoppe: Hamlet's Variety Shoppe

Quality of Goods: Good!

Denckash enters the shop and is met by shelves and hooks full of a variety of objects ranging from adventuring gear to various odds and ends,

Was it well kept? Likely 55%, d100=6, exceptional yes!

The shoppe is incredibly well kept. The shelves were organized and well stocked, a bard even sat in the corner playing a concertina. The smell of lavender and honey wafted in the air. An older Human lady stood behind the counter.

Does she greet him? Very Likely 75%, d100=93, no!

She was lost in a knitting project and didn't even look up when he walked in.

DC for finding Good quality items in a village shoppe (TSAT1): 10, d20=20!

He immediately notices on the one wall that there was a wide selection of waterskins of various hides and colors.

Does he recognize the leather? DC14 Nature (Wis), d20+1=11, no!

He doesn't recognize the hides but he did see a lovely red waterskin adorned with fur. It was the same size of his current waterskin but it was absolutely gorgeous.

Is there a price listed? Likely 55%, d100=92, exceptional no!

There wasn't a price listed on the piece. As he scanned the store he noticed nothing had prices on them. Usually this meant that things would be more expensive than normal… He would have to inquire with the shopkeepess. He took the waterskin off the hook it hung from and approached the counter.

"Good day, I'd like to purchase this waterskin, how much is it?" He asked her.

Is it more expensive than a regular waterskin (2sp)? Likely 55%, d100=8, exceptional yes!

"Why, yes, darlin, this is genuine Molesheep skin! Imported from directly from the Tiagon Mountains, actually. I couldn't let it go for less than 4 gold." She explained.

I kind of want this waterskin, even though its expensive for one.

"Perhaps we can say 2 gold?" Persuasion (Cha) DC17, d20-2=16, fail

"So sorry, dear. I cannot budge on it, they are only in stock once a year and they can go quick." She apologized.

Did they have regular waterskin? Likely 55%, d100=63, no!

"And unfortunately, we don’t have standard cowhide." she went on.

"Very well…I will take it…" he said reluctantly producing 4gp from his purse

"Do you have coin purses as well? Normal, non-exotic ones?" 50/50 35%, d100=35, yes!

"Those, I do have. 5 silver, please." She replied sweetly. He hands over a gold piece and she returns 5 silver pieces in change

Deduct: 5 gp

Gain: 5 sp

Thanks to Wendel's pay, he was able to obtain another waterskin so he could carry a full gallon of water, saving him time foraging on his travels. Satisfied, he bid good day to the shop keeper and retreated back out into the village, to go next door to the in and have a meal.

End Scene CL=3

NPC: Hamlet's Shopkeeper

Scene 8 - Back to the wilds! - 1FB - 1:00pm - Day 1

Denckash goes attempts to go to the inn, The Sweaty Strumpet, but it has a "Temporarily Closed" sign outside of the door. He is unable to take a short rest, he opts to be on his way.

CL=3, Chaos Roll 1d10=2, interrupted! Random Event!

Random Event: d100=60, PC Negative, Subject/Action: Passion of Legal Matters

Well then, this puts a damper on my lunch plans. He thought.

Because of this, he cannot regain the spell slot he expended to heal himself during the boggle fight. At least, he could go outside of the town and take a short rest, but I also want to get moving so I will refrain from doing so. I will roll one more random encounter as I leave the city.

Random Encounter 25%, d100=68, no.

He leaves the city, and makes way back for the coast.

End scene CL=2

Finally, back into the wilds. I don't do urban encounters well because it doesn't come natural or easy to me. What do ya expect, I am shy as heck and don't roam around amongst the populous!
